Fiction: Two Ships

Last assignment for my editorial class, it was a short fiction piece called, "Two Ships", and it was about how a childhood friendship went awry after one of them...well, kinda goes crazy skinhead something something and the other friend doesn't help him out when an FBI guy comes by. Now, after some more years have passed by, the odd friend is out of a mental hospital that he was put in after the previous events happened, and hints at revenge of some sort.

DVD cover that never was for The Seventh Seal.

Over-parenting.

Editorial homework on over-parenting. It's amazing how useful that one SNL skit with Mike Myers as the little kid, Philip, was useful for the harness reference.

T is for Tengu

The tall tengu tenderly trimmed the tiny tangerine tree.
Hijou ni se no takai tengu wa yasashiku chiisana tangerine no ki wo karimashita.

No kanji text:

And with kanji text:

Translation done by my friend, so don't blame me if something's off (I doubt it as my friend is not so confident in her mad Japanese skillz).

Gaia summer chibis

Chibis I did over the summer as a means to become more gold-wealthy on Gaia, and it definitely paid off. I had a lot of fun with these avatars, and it got me drawing a lot more than I had been previously.

Some more school work.

Craigslist portrait - we all had to go on to the personals and had to find a posting that was of our liking or to our own amusement. Mine was "Gentle Dom Seeking Submissive Queen".

Wine label that never was for Periscope Cellars.

Lewis Carroll portrait addressing the probable pedophilia he might have had with Alice Liddell (his inspiration for Alice in Alice and Wonderland).

Aaand anthropomorphic self-portrait.

I swear I will upload something more than schoolwork...eventually. And when I do for the time being, they will most likely be random little sketches I do while in my lecture classes. Gwah.

Immigration debate

Editorial piece for class on an article that has to do with the whole immigration debate and how illegals aren't *actually* damaging our economy but rather outright helping support the US.
For me personally, I still have no idea what to say or think about the whole debate, there are so many things I don't think we know clearly enough. It's difficult on who should stay, whether or not amnesty would be the right thing or not, how to weed out the overall illegals that are doing more damage (such as drug trafficking) than those who, well, aren't. Maybe conditional amnesty of some sort (aka green carding people already over here) and allow them to stay as long as they are employed and not doing anything stupid.

So much to think about. I don't even know if what I think should be done would make actual sense. \headdesk

Technical side - might need to tone down the blue in the background so the bottom figures pop more.
