Gaia summer chibis

Chibis I did over the summer as a means to become more gold-wealthy on Gaia, and it definitely paid off. I had a lot of fun with these avatars, and it got me drawing a lot more than I had been previously.

I swear I will upload something more than schoolwork...eventually. And when I do for the time being, they will most likely be random little sketches I do while in my lecture classes. Gwah.

Immigration debate

Editorial piece for class on an article that has to do with the whole immigration debate and how illegals aren't *actually* damaging our economy but rather outright helping support the US.
For me personally, I still have no idea what to say or think about the whole debate, there are so many things I don't think we know clearly enough. It's difficult on who should stay, whether or not amnesty would be the right thing or not, how to weed out the overall illegals that are doing more damage (such as drug trafficking) than those who, well, aren't. Maybe conditional amnesty of some sort (aka green carding people already over here) and allow them to stay as long as they are employed and not doing anything stupid.

So much to think about. I don't even know if what I think should be done would make actual sense. \headdesk

Technical side - might need to tone down the blue in the background so the bottom figures pop more.

I was looking at Nimoy! Spock the entire time while doing this, and now he kinda looks more like Quinto! Spock. Fffffff-

Self-promo piece for illustration 3. I love-hate how I essentially did this thing twice, and after the fact did I realize I worked myself into a corner with what acceptable magazine and book publishers I'd want to send it to. Curse meeeeee.
Shoulda stuck with Mister Rogers. Or Weird Al. Or something.

Essay article reading for my illustration 3 class I chose that had to do with WWII PTSD. I have a friend who was in The Sandbox (I don't think he has any PTSD that affects him as he is functioning in school and life with no issues). I don't know if what he's said about this is right (as he has a different sense of humour), but from what I gathered so far is that he said it was spot-on with things that weigh on the mind after getting out of that state of being and mind.
